Volusia County Gun Club

Course topics include:

* Gun Safety Rules

* Proper operation of Revolvers and Semi-Automatic pistols

* Ammunition knowledge and selection

* Pistol selection and storage

* Shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance

* Marksmanship, and shooting range safety

You will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and upon completion of the course you will receive a certificate. This course satisfies the state of Florida training requirement for the FL concealed weapons permit. This course is also a prerequisite with the NRA to become an NRA pistol instructor. NRA pistol instructors are recognized by the State of Florida as being able to provide the training requirement for Concealed Weapons Permits.

What to bring: Firearms and ammo, eye and ear protection., a ball cap, lunch, snacks and drink. Please wear closed toed shoes and high neck t-shit.
