• Service shotgun (pump or semi-automatic).
• Ammunition (specified round count for buckshot and slugs).
• Eye and ear protection.
• Personal protective gear.
• Comfortable, closed-toe, sturdy shoes. No sandals or open-toed shoes.
• Sturdy belt (must be able to hold up the weight of a magazine holster)

Where is this class held and how long is it?

Patrol Shotgun is a total of 6 hours and is held at Volusia County Gun Club, a private outdoor gun range offering 32 pistol bays, and a variety of rifle ranges, up to 900 yards.

This curriculum aims to ensure that participants not only meet the required standards for patrol shotgun proficiency set by the State of Florida but also leave the course with a comprehensive understanding of the tactical, legal, and ethical aspects of shotgun use in law enforcement settings.
